40 years of flavor, community and tradition: The Story of La Michoacana Meat Market™.

In February 1986, a Mexican family arrived in Houston with a simple but powerful dream: to open a small store that not only sold products, but also served the Hispanic community that, at the time, few saw and many ignored.

That small store, full of family effort and deep-rooted values, became the starting point of a story that today celebrates 40 years of dedication, growth and gratitude.

A family dream that grew with its people

From the beginning, each member of the family contributed something: work, recipes, ideas, sacrifice... and above all, a deep desire to offer a place where Hispanics could feel at home.

That's how La Michoacana Meat Market™ began to make a place for itself in Houston, offering jobs, services, authentic products and meats with the flavor and cuts that our people missed so much.

Over time, we also incorporated marinated meats ready to grill, homemade taqueria options, family meal specials, and promotions on groceries and fresh fruits and vegetables, responding to the real needs of our families.

From one store to more than 225: A community-driven expansion

What started in Houston soon multiplied. Each year, more Hispanic families arrived in Texas, and with them grew their needs.

La Michoacana Meat Market™ responded by expanding - not only in numbers, but also in size, variety and quality of products. Today we have about 225 stores throughout Texas. We are proudly present in major cities such as Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, as well as in hard-working communities that keep the Hispanic spirit alive: Corpus Christi, Lufkin, Bryan, the Texas Valley and many more.

40 years without forgetting where we come from

Despite our growth, we have never forgotten our origins.

We are still that family that believes in hard work, in serving with pride and in offering what we do best: fresh, juicy meats, prepared to taste and with the Hispanic cuts that represent us.

Because if anything defines us from 1986 to today... it's that our thing is meats.
